L1590 announces 3rd LODD.

This following was posted on the L1590's offical facebook page--With heavy hearts the Men and Woman of Wilmington Firefighters Association announce the passing of our sister and our friend Sr. Firefighter Ardy Hope. She has succumbed to her injuries sustained in a house fire on Sept 24th. She is the 3rd LODD from the worst day in our departments history. L4417 supports L1590

Newcastle County Uniformed Firefighter Local 4417 supported Wilmington Fire Department Local 1590, protesting the reinstatement of rolling blackouts, closing firehouses daily.....President Outten and Brother Testa arrived with the Official 4417 firetruck to show support for Local 1590.

Wilmington Fire Department suffers 2 LODD's

The Wilmington Fire Department L1590 suffered 2 LODD's during a early morning fire today. The call was dispatched at 0254hrs to the 1900 Blk of Lakeview Rd. in the Canby Park neighborhood. 14 year member of the  Department Lt. Christopher Leach from Ladder Company 2, and 13 year member FF Jerry Fickes assigned to Squad 4 both died from there injuries. Two other members of the WFD are listed in critical but stable condition at Crozer medical center, but there injuries are unknown at this time.
